What This Website Is

DeleteRecord.com is the website of Hibbard Law, PLLC, a Washington law firm. It provides general information about traffic and criminal defense matters, and it lets you submit a traffic citation for evaluation and hire us to handle it for a flat fee. The general information here is not legal advice and is not a substitute for advice about your specific situation.

When an Attorney-Client Relationship Begins

Reading this site, sending a contact form message, uploading a citation, or receiving an eligibility result does not make us your lawyers. No attorney-client relationship exists at those stages, and you should not rely on anything here as advice about your own case.

An attorney-client relationship begins only when you complete checkout and accept the engagement letter for your matter. From that point the engagement letter governs the representation, and if anything in these terms conflicts with it, the engagement letter controls.

Eligibility Results Are Preliminary

The eligibility screening on this site is an initial assessment based on what you tell us and what we read from your citation. It is not a promise that we will take your case, that the prosecutor will agree to an amendment, or that a court will approve one. We may decline a matter after reviewing it — for example, on discovering a conflict of interest, a filing deadline that has already passed, or facts that differ from what was submitted. If we decline before doing work, we refund your fee.

Fees

Our fees are flat and stated before you pay: $195 to pursue amendment of a moving violation to a non-moving violation, and $450 to contest a citation. Payment is processed by Square; we do not receive or store your card details.

These are attorney service fees only. The fine on your citation, and any court costs or assessments, are separate, are not included, and remain your responsibility. You must still pay your ticket fine. Our involvement does not pay it for you.

Refunds

The refund terms for your matter are set out in the engagement letter you accept at checkout, and they differ by service. In summary:

  • Non-moving amendment — if the requested amendment is not approved, we refund your service fee in full.
  • Contesting a citation — if we obtain no result at all on your case, we refund your service fee in full. A partial result, such as a reduced fine or a reduced charge, is a result and does not qualify for a refund.
  • In both cases the refund covers our service fee only, never the citation fine or any court-imposed amounts.

Your Responsibilities

Two things matter more than anything else on this page:

  • Give us accurate information. We rely on what you submit. An incorrect citation number, court, or date can cause a filing to fail or a deadline to be missed, and we are not responsible for outcomes caused by information that was wrong or incomplete.
  • Watch your deadline. Traffic citations carry a strict response deadline, commonly 15 days in Washington. Submitting a citation to us does not stop that clock. Until we have been retained and have entered an appearance on your behalf, responding on time is your responsibility. Missing the deadline can result in a default finding and suspension of your license.

Acceptable Use

Do not upload anything that is not yours to upload, attempt to gain access to accounts or data that are not yours, interfere with the operation of the site, or use it to break the law. We may suspend access for any of these.

Content and Ownership

The text, design, and materials on this site belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright. You may read and print them for your own use. You may not republish or reuse them commercially without permission.

Availability and Disclaimer of Warranties

This website is provided as is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that automated extraction of your citation will be accurate — which is why you are asked to review every extracted field before submitting. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Washington law, our liability arising from your use of this website is limited to the amount of fees you paid us for the matter in question. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing here limits our professional obligations to clients under the Washington Rules of Professional Conduct.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington. Any dispute arising from them belongs in the state courts of Grant County, Washington, and you agree to that venue.

Changes

We may update these terms. The effective date above shows when they last changed, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
