Information You Give Us

Most of what we hold is information you enter yourself:

• Contact details — your name, email address, phone number, and the content of any message you send through our contact form.
• Your citation — the photo or PDF you upload, plus anything you type in manually. A traffic citation typically contains your full name, address, date of birth, driver's license number, physical description, vehicle information, and the details of the alleged violation.
• Case details — your answers to the eligibility questions, your driving history as you describe it, and any correspondence with our office.
• Payment information — processed by Square. Card numbers never reach our servers; we retain only a transaction reference, the amount, and whether the payment succeeded or was refunded.

Information Collected Automatically

Our web server records standard technical data — IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps — for security and troubleshooting. We use cookies only where they are necessary to operate the site, such as keeping you signed in to a form session and protecting against cross-site request forgery. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not run third-party advertising trackers on this site.

Analytics

We use Fathom Analytics to understand how many people visit the site and which pages they find useful. Fathom is a privacy-focused analytics service chosen deliberately over the common alternatives: it sets no cookies, does not fingerprint your device, does not store your IP address, and does not build a profile of you or follow you across other websites.

What it records is aggregate and anonymous — page views, referring site, rough country-level location, and device type. None of it is tied to your name, your citation, or your case, and none of it is sold or shared for advertising. Because no cookies are involved, there is nothing here for you to consent to or opt out of, though Fathom honors browser Do Not Track signals.

Automated Reading of Your Citation

To save you from retyping a citation, we send the image or PDF you upload to a third-party artificial intelligence service, which extracts the text and returns structured details such as the citation number, court, violation code, and fine amount. This means the contents of your citation — including the personal information printed on it — are transmitted to and processed by that provider.

The extraction is a convenience, not a decision-maker. An attorney reviews every case before anything is filed, and you can review and correct every extracted field before you submit. If you would rather not have your citation processed this way, choose the manual entry option and type the details in yourself.

How We Use Your Information

We use what you provide to:

• Assess whether your citation is eligible for an amendment or worth contesting.
• Prepare, sign, and file court documents and negotiate with the prosecuting authority.
• Keep you informed about the status of your case by email.
• Process your payment and any refund.
• Meet our professional, ethical, and recordkeeping obligations as a law office.

Who We Share It With

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising. We disclose it only to:

• The prosecuting authority and the court — this is the purpose of the representation. Pursuing an amendment or a dismissal necessarily means submitting your citation details to the prosecutor and filing documents with the court.
• Service providers who operate parts of this service on our behalf: our payment processor, our document preparation and electronic signature provider, our email delivery provider, our hosting provider, and the AI provider described above. Each receives only what it needs to perform its function.
• Anyone you direct us to share with, in writing.
• Where required by law, court order, or the rules of professional conduct.

Confidentiality and Attorney-Client Privilege

Once we represent you, your information is protected by attorney-client privilege and by the confidentiality duties Washington imposes on lawyers. Those duties are broader than this policy and take precedence over it.

Information you send before representation begins is treated as confidential and is not shared outside our office, but it is not yet privileged. Please do not send sensitive details about matters we have not agreed to handle.

How Long We Keep It

Client files are retained for as long as our professional obligations require, and generally for several years after a matter closes. Inquiries that do not become cases, including unfinished submissions and contact form messages, are kept only as long as they are useful and are then deleted.

How We Protect It

Traffic on this site is encrypted in transit. Uploaded citations are stored on private storage that is not publicly reachable; access requires an authenticated staff account and is granted through short-lived links. Administrative access is limited to our attorney and office staff. No system is perfectly secure, but we take the sensitivity of a document carrying your driver's license number and date of birth seriously.

Your Choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or unsubscribe from non-essential email at any time by contacting our office. Two limits apply: we cannot delete records we are professionally or legally required to keep, and we cannot retract documents already filed with a court or delivered to a prosecutor.

Minors

This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13 through it. Our juvenile record services necessarily involve information about minors; that information is provided by a parent, guardian, or the former juvenile themselves, and is handled as part of a client file rather than through this website.

Changes to This Policy

If we change this policy we will update the effective date above. Material changes will be noted on this page.
